The major quest isn’t the only thing in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You have now beaten Ganon and finished your first journey in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As the excitement from your meeting starts to wear off and you think back on your trip as the credits roll, you feel empty and wanting. “Now what?”
Do not be afraid, brave explorer! There are still a lot of fun things to do in Hyrule during this trip. If you’re not ready to let go yet, there are many hours of gathering, monster hunting, writing down, and mapping that you can enjoy. This is especially true if you are very careful and want to say that you’ve been everywhere and done everything.
Make Monster Sculptures
After meeting Kilton and Koltin for the first time, Kilton will go to Tarrey Town and work with Hudson to carve monsters, but only if you give him a picture of the monsters.
Surprisingly, the monster sculptures are very exact. They keep the pose from the photo and even the type of monster, down to the details like whether they’re wearing armor. You can be creative with the pictures you take. And the model will just look like the monster. You can even turn Ganondorf and the bosses from the four temples into figures. You only need to stay living long enough to take a picture.
Make Link The Best House Possible
Hudson Construction will start building Dream Homes once Mattison moves from Tarrey Town to Gerudo Town. You can build Link a house just outside of Tarrey Town if you buy a piece of land.
With Ultrahand, you can connect different rooms together, like a kitchen, living room, or even a Blessing Room with a Hylia Statue. This lets you change the house in any way you want. It’s also possible to add a gallery, where you can have a painting made from a picture you took on your trip with the Purah Pad.
Complete All The Coliseums
There are six Coliseums in the Depths and one north of the Great Plateau. You’ll have to fight your way through them to get things from Zelda’s past, like Majora’s Mask.There are scary monsters in the Coliseums, like a Thunder Gleeok that watches over the Trousers of Awakening.
You’ll need to go to the Forest Coliseum to get the Korok Mask, which shakes when a forest spirit is nearby if you want to collect all those Korok Seeds. It might be hard to beat these Coliseums and make it out alive, but it’s worth the trouble to get these prized things.
Find All Of The Korok Seeds
Korok Seeds are back and have spread to a much bigger form of Hyrule, which makes some people very happy and others very angry. If you like looking through the whole map, you might enjoy searching every nook and corner for these sometimes hard to find items.
One of the more divisive parts of Breath of the Wild was the prize you got for finishing such a big task. The only thing they got as a prize was bragging rights and Hestu’s Gift, which the game says “smells pretty bad.” The same goes for Tears of the Kingdom, but finding them is still fun.
Fill Out The Hyrule Compendium
Watching all the items in an in-game library slowly fill up is one of the most reliable ways to get a dopamine rush. That’s exactly what the Hyrule Compendium lets you do, and it’s back in Tears of the Kingdom using one of its coolest tools, the Purah Pad.
You’ll feel great when you finish the Hyrule Compendium, and it’s also a great way to make sure you have seen everything and won’t get Tears of the Kingdom FOMO. When you finish it, Robbie will give you a nice little reward: a golden paraglider fabric with icons from the Compendium on it.
Wrap Up Side Quests
In Tears of the Kingdom, you can pretty much get to the endgame as soon as you finish the introduction, just like in Breath of the Wild. The game can go on as long as you want. Of course, this is not how the new Zelda games for the Nintendo Switch are meant to be played.
In open-world games, the real fun comes from going on quests that take you to different parts of the world and their unique environments. Some quests have you collecting things throughout the whole game. Since Hyrule is so big, there’s a good chance you’ll still have some quests to do after the game is over.
Improve Your Photography Skills
The quest you’ll start when you talk to an NPC named Joshua is called “Camera Work in the Depths.” You’ll be able to use the camera on your Purah Pad after you finish this quest.
Hyrule is a beautifully designed world with many beautiful places to visit and many chances to have unique and memorable experiences. So, get out there, improve your photography skills by recording these moments, and then share your art-within-art with the community. It will be fun to remember your brave journey through the pictures you’ve taken.
Make Link Overpowered
There are a lot of tough fights and physical hurdles in Tears of the Kingdom. A lot of players will save some of these for after the game is over. Get as many Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels as you can to make Link stronger. This will help you with some of these tasks.
It also has a lot of different gear and weapons, especially since Link has the ability Fuse, which lets you add things to his weapons to make them better. If you use the monster parts to improve your best weapons, Ganondorf’s followers will have no chance. This is especially true if you use the Great Fairies to improve your armor as well.
Become A Master Equestrian
Since Link lost all of his power-ups and skills in Breath of the Wild, he has to start from scratch again. However, your horses will follow you. Still, there’s no reason to ignore some of the horses in Tears of the Kingdom.
In Hyrule, you can find the Giant White Stallion, the Skeletal Horse, a Golden Horse, and, of course, Epona on her victorious return. If you don’t have the Skeletal horse, any of these horses would be great additions to your stable. They would also make long rides across the country a lot more fun. You can enjoy the view while letting them lead the way; they’ll find the way on their own if there is one.
Hunt Down Elite Monsters
Even though the main quest is where you’ll fight the game’s most famous bosses, Tears of the Kingdom still has a lot of bosses that you can fight in the overworld. Especially with the Zonai Devices, you can use more creative and player-specific strategies to beat them.
Taluses, Gleeoks, Moldugas, and other enemy constructs can be found all over Hyrule and can be used in difficult fights. There are dozens or even hundreds of hours that you’ve spent getting skills, collectibles, improvements, and guns. What better place is there to use these tools than on some of the toughest people in Basket Random?
Conquer Every Shrine
In Tears of the Kingdom, there are 152 Shrines, which is 32 more than in Breath of the Wild. On the Hyrule map, there are 120 of these mini-dungeons, and in the sky islands, there are 32. Each one has a puzzle or task for you to solve.
In Tears of the Kingdom, answering the call of every Shrine is a big task. You’re not the only one who may have skipped a few before the final fight against Ganondorf. If you can find and finish all 152, you’ll get a special set of armor that you might not want to see until you do.
Explore Every Inch Of The Map
Nintendo really outdid itself when it came to making a world that is so big and full of things to do. You should explore it. When you finish the main quest and load your now-starred save file again, you’ll see that your map of Hyrule has a success rate that shows how many places you’ve been to, items you’ve found, and more.
Of all the tasks you can do in such an endless game, this is by far the hardest. But the experience is completely fulfilling, both in terms of the prizes you’ll get and the pleasure you’ll feel knowing you’ve really explored the game’s depths.
Experiment With Zonai Devices
Experimenting with the Zonai Devices will be the aspect of Tears of the Kingdom driving the most life and community involvement once you’ve played the game enough that the excitement of the story and all of its twists and turns have worn off and you know Hyrule like your own garden.
The Zonai devices take the idea of Breath of the Wild’s sandbox and add an endless number of new options that are just waiting to be found. You could turn them into a robot and easily defeat hordes of enemies, or you could turn them into planes and easily fly around Hyrule. You can do anything you can think of, as long as you have enough energy cells and Zonai gadgets.
