Maryam Nawaz Shareef is a Pakistani politician who is the daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Kalsoom Nawaz. She is also the granddaughter of military ruler Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. She was born on 28 October 1973 in Lahore.

Safdar was born on October 8, 1966, in Karachi. He is the son of Ghulam Muhammad Safdar, who served as a Minister in the Federal Cabinet during Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s regime, and Begum Nusrat Safdar.
